The brief was to bring the town of Charleville to life; a place synonymous with cheese making. We got to thinking about a town that made cheese through everything they did; even the most unexpected.

We employed a very tactile approach, using film stock, anamorphic lenses and model-making to tell the story.

The film was brought to life by director's Zak & Dan with post by The Mill, London.

I have long been an admirer of W. Heath Robinson's absurdist machine illustrations. So many scripts were inspired by this research and it was a challenge to whittle them down to one.
